Bus N260 White Grit, Hyssington, Churchstoke, Mellingon, Pentre.

There is a tree on the road at Mellington and the school bus can't get through.  The bus will travel to Melllington arches and turn back to Churchstoke.  If you can't get your child into school please let us know.  There is a GCSE exam this morning.  Any Year 11 without transport, please ring school and we will send a school minibus.

School uniform is available from School Shop Direct, 5 Henley Way, Shrewsbury, SY1 4PR. Tel. 01743 440449.

You can also purhcase uniform from the School Shop that is situated in the college main reception area.  If your child/children are entitled to Free School Meals or are registered as Pupil Premium, we offer you financial support in purchasing the school uniform.  Please contact the college and ask to speak to Miss Painter for further details.

 Transport

Students currently travel to the College using a variety of means including service buses, cars, taxis, bikes and on foot.  The existing bus links to and from the school are very good and provide access from a number of areas in and around Bishop's Castle.  For more information on the bus routes currently operating to and from school please contact the College main reception.

Shropshire Council is responsible for providing transport for students who reside in the catchment area within Shropshire.  Enquiries about entitlement to, and application for transport to and from the College should be addressed to:

Powys Council Council is responsible for providing transport for students who reside in the catchment area within Powys.  Enquiries about entitlement to, and applications for, transport to and from College should be directed to:

Five transport services operate for Powys resident students who live outside the catchment area.  Two minibuses collect students from Knighton, one minibus from Knucklas and a fourth minibus collects students from Leighton, Forden, Llandyssil and Cefn-y-Coed.  A bus also collects students from Sarn, Kerry, Abermule and Montgomery.  For further information regarding these services please contact College reception.  


 Pastoral Issues

Each student has a learning coach, and will be in one of the College's Houses, Clive-Austen, Darwin-Keller, Sidney-Potter and Curie-Webb.  There are inter-house competitions, and the students are encouraged to gain house points for the overall House winner.  For any pastoral issues or concerns do not hesistate to contact your child's learning coach or Head of House at the College.

Online Payments

We are pleased to offer you an Online Reporting facility for your child/childre.  The school Gateway system will give you real time information about your child's/childrens' Attendance and Timetables for the next two weeks, Contact details and a Pupil Premium questionnaire to find out if your child/children qualify for pupil premium.  The system also enables the college to distribute information and letters, and parents can update contact details, inform the college in advance of any future known absences and make debit and credit card payments for trips, music lessons, buses, etc.
